[challenge entry] OK, you want genuine sadness?
I wrote the poem as I had to make the horrible decision to put my best friend of 20 years to sleep last year.

Yes, it's sad when a pet dies. And yes it's a horrible experience, but no one knew your pet, and I'm going to go out on a limb and state that no one really cares. I don't expect anyone cares about my cat either. Secondly, yes it's 'sad' compo, but this is still a humour website, so it's an implied criteria that humour should be behind your compo entry.

I still don't care about anyones dead pet.
