I left my job at 25 (post office)and went to University. Later qualified as teacher. Best move I ever made if ok with a few years of poverty, unable to get on housing ladder situation.

It's all too late for me thoughI'm 42 and my other half James has lost his job through having chronic pancreatitis which we have just found out will probably have to be removed in the near future leaving him full diabetic and on tablets to make up for the lack of stomach bile and enzynes. Quit my job now would be financial suicide and all on the gamble that I could even get into University especially as I lack any real qualifications to secure a place and couldn't afford to buy my way through education.
