# EWcomics #51 - Show
(, Sun 15 Mar 2009, 11:54, archived)
# hahaha.
EDIT: Hahaha talk about taking the piss, I've been pissing about on b3ta working so hard this morning that I missed that a couple of people hadn't checked out yet.
So I get my first check in of the day and put them in that room. The girls come down saying they're going to check out soon and I inform them that they should have gone two hours ago and they need to pack up and leave.
So they talk about going for a shower whilst sitting down to breakfast (that's already finished).
I then see them, unpackedupededed starting to make coffee after explaining to them another time that they need to leave.
Even though ther are already

# So you told them to leave

# Oh fuck it

# They have now.
They thought leaving meant having a shower, a spot of breakfast even though they missed check out by two hours and people had arrived to move into their room then packing up and leaving.

# haha, nevermind
A question Mr ghost, how much do hostels usually cost per night/week? Since you run one and all :)
(, Sun 15 Mar 2009, 12:28, archived)
# You charge?
Fuck that's where I've been going wrong.

In London it can bee anything from £8 to £25-30 per night.
This depends on what the hostel offers, how many in a dorm and if the hostel is cheap coz it's a shit hole. The YHA ones charge about £25-30 a night for just a dorm but they have their own advertising departments etc and can afford to rip people off.
Weekly you're looking between £60-100 again depending what's on offer.

EDIT: I like to think we offer good value for money as we have max of 4 to a room, free wiffy, brekkie and a garden/BBQ area from £15pn off season.

# Ok ta :)
Im thinking of possibly seeing how much of my loan I can save then doing a bit of europe once I graduate.
So I'll probably be able to afford a week maybe two then :P
(, Sun 15 Mar 2009, 12:34, archived)
# Europe is cheaper but the Euro is very strong at the mo.
I don't know how long you want to go for but it's worth getting a eurorail pass that'll let you travel freely round Europe.
The best place to look for hostels is www.hostelbookers.com

# Id like to do scandinavia, but thats more expensive then most isnt it
Arnt the rail passes expensive tho?
Ok, cool, I'll bookmark that for when I possibly make plans :)
(, Sun 15 Mar 2009, 12:43, archived)
# Not cheap
But still cheaper than buying seperate train ticket of getting flights.

# True that

# CHeap flights can be a con
They probably don't include tax and most likely don't include baggage. They also put you don't in some middle of nowhere airport that costs you thirty quid to get to the destination city when you touch down at 3am.
(, Sun 15 Mar 2009, 12:49, archived)
# Yes, prices for flying never includes the £30quid tax each way
(, Sun 15 Mar 2009, 12:50, archived)
# :D
£10 flight to somewhere

£90 airport/entry fees

£100/item luggage supplement

£350 flight back :D

+ other fees :)

[challenge entry] I'm jacking this train to iceland!
I've made a shitty font that makes it easier (or maybe it's harder, not sure yet) to type sweary rudeness. Lady was not impressed, so here I am.

achieved by typing:
Y S. Y d PE Dh @
ÒÓ Me FI sh O R-p.
Sl ceI aje r x?
Hi L ne fI X T.
Bfe O AkI o Mp
zq = ti Z VI!
The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog.

It took alot longer that usual to make sense of that actually, this is a silly idea, but maybe it's a font joke. NSFW probably.
