Up to my eyes today.

Lovely pic, Sir.

# Bless you sir :)
I thought it might be 'head down' for a while as you settle in. Hope the move and everything went ok :D

# Thanks Ninj, you lovely chap, you...

# Even as I speak, doctors are fighting to sew up my sides.

# Fuck you ya sarcy bastard!
I used to like you when you were in London. Brum's changed you man! ;)
(, Thu 13 Aug 2009, 10:04, archived)
# I apologise, sir.
In truth, there is multitudinous booze and nosh facility right on the doorstep, so, should you ever be bashing in Brum, swing by sir, swing by.
(, Thu 13 Aug 2009, 10:07, archived)
# I may well have to do that,
Oh hang on, no. IT'S FUCKING BIRMINGHAM! ;)

The only Birmingham I wanna go to is Birmingham, Alabama, to go and worship at the feet of The Drive-By Truckers
(, Thu 13 Aug 2009, 10:15, archived)
# hehehe...
I particularly like the fact that it's a 35 second walk from my front door to a pretty good bar!
(and yes, I timed it...)

;-)
(, Thu 13 Aug 2009, 9:54, archived)
# awesome :D
the nearest places to me, 2 mins walk... A TGI Fridays and a Frankie and Bennys. Bah.

so what's up with the good Cap'n?

# Oh, she's all good...
She just can't b3ta from work anymore...

# Does that not qualify as being a basic human need?
In some parts of the developing world, people have to walk for up to 3 minutes to access a decent bar. And in some godforsaken hellholes, entire communities get by with nothing more than a Wetherspoons or a Yates' Wine Lodge.

*shudders*

# 10 minute (sober) walk for me to my nearest pub :(
And I live in London FFS!

# *points*
hahahahah!

# However, I am pleased to say that I live somewhere which doesn't have
any fucking "bars"
(, Thu 13 Aug 2009, 10:07, archived)
# I only mentioned the 'bar' because it was closest.
Two proper 'boozers' less than a minute the other way.
(, Thu 13 Aug 2009, 10:09, archived)
# Whatever ;)
(, Thu 13 Aug 2009, 10:16, archived)
# Yates Wine Lodge...
I've heard of these atrocities, but never actually seen one.

# You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy.
We should be careful.
(, Thu 13 Aug 2009, 10:12, archived)
# I must confess, I used to drink in a Yates'
quite often. But I was at college, it was the closest boozer and it was only £1.49 a pint.
(, Thu 13 Aug 2009, 10:17, archived)
# So, that'd be a 'bar', then?
;-)
(, Thu 13 Aug 2009, 10:25, archived)
# Well yes,
but I didn't go to college where I live :P
