# RADIO 1
TURN IT ON
Sorry I'll stop tryign to encourage you now, but this mix by Beth Orton is really great, and i really don't like country music, but this is an exception. Anyone know what song this is a version of? I know the melody but can't place it.

# Radio 1's kinda shit where I live
usualy, the best reception I can get is when I stream it...Some times it's quite good...on VERY clear days anyway...Which is probably why I never really listen to the radio...

# hmm, i'm intrigued now

# i play bass
my twin brother sings, my small chum Dave plays the drums and my stoned chum Gaz plays guitar and we will shortly be doing gigs in and around Cardiff.
I have been talking to a friend who organises these things, see. He comes in handy.

# Lots of old songs are getting redone
quite well recently, if you ignore all the pop crap.have you seen the video/song for Johnny Cash's cover of the NIN song 'Hurt'? It's really nice and quite moving.

# Goldfingers cover of 99 Red Balloons is awesome
They even kept the german lyrics in there. It's off the Stomping Ground album if you're interested in downloading it (Not that anyone takes any notice of me!!!)

And [spunge]'s cover of No Woman No Cry is cool too....the only band that have been allowed to change the lyrics to a bob marley song! (But they still do the original version too) There's a good story behind how they go to change the lyrics...with non other than Ziggy Marley letting them do it...
