There is an operation we are hoping will help outwhere they inject some chemical into the nerves of the Pancreas to stop pain being transmitted from it - apparently it's quite successful. Long term however eventually the Pancreas will need to be removed leaving him diabetic and reliant on tablets to break down the food in his stomach but I think he will be glad when the pain ends.
