This is a link post Aussie DJs pose as Queen and Prince Charles while calling Kate's hospital...
If you can get past the first few minutes of the incredibly annoying Australian DJs using their real-life voices, you will be rewarded by an astonishing bit of prank callery...

This is a normal post Either that nurse was a fucking idiot or she was in awe of the supposed Queen.
Sadly, i'm thinking the latter, how depressing.

Those accents were fucking awful!!

Edit: www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-20610197

Fucking hell, good for them, because it's the Royals phone protocols are now under review, comical.

This is a normal post I don't think the two things in your first sentence are mutually exclusive.
In fact, the two things are pretty much the same thing.

This is a normal post Maybe I've had a sense of humour by-pass today.
But nurses are busy and Kate, whatever people think of her is a woman ill enough to be hospitalised. Where is the joke in this?

This is a normal post To be fair...
...i think she probably has a few personal nurses looking after her personally in shifts, they aren't going to just let anyone look after her. If anything i expect nurses/other patients are suffering more due to her being in there due to the media attention and everything else rather than a prank phone call.

On the plus side: due to this their reviewing phone protocols and data protection.

This is a normal post You might be right.
I'm just on my high horse because I had a relative in hospital recently and getting through on the phone was a bugger, and getting accurate updates was even worse.

This is a normal post You need to get over the crane incident, it'll be ok.
The phone isn't an ideal way to get in touch with hospitals at all, this nurse only spoke to her due to the fact she thought it was the Queen so normal rules didn't apply, no questions were asked regarding the identity of the caller to be certain they should be disclosing the information.

The nurses fucked up because they thought the Royal family aren't to be questioned or treated the same as the family/relatives of other 'common' patients.

This is a normal post That crane is still there
On a building site. Doing building work. It even has a ladder on it so the people can get to it. I didn't sleep at all last night thinking about it, which might explain me being cranky.

This is a normal post I have it on good authority that she is dumped on a filthy trolly in a corridor.
& all the nurses have forgotten about her.

This is a normal post Yeah, they've also got trainee nurses fitting her drips so they can learn how to do it.
