This is a normal post Oh leave them alone.
It probably wasn't even their idea. It was pre-recorded and vetted by the station lawyers first so what were they supposed to do? Now their career is screwed.

This is a normal post This.
When people were sending the DJs threats and insults, I was tempted to write a Twitterbot which Tweets a link to the Samaratan's JustGiving page and tells anyone who has just RABBLERABBLERABBLEd them that if they care that much, then they should put their money where their mouth is and donate.

Plus one thing you wont hear mentioned in the press due to the obvious sensitivity issues is what kind of psychological state the nurse was in generally. Not trying to discredit her, but committing suicide because you were the "victim" of an innocuous prank call? I just don't think a person of sound body and mind would do that. I know I wouldn't.

Like I say, I'm not trying to slate the nurse, but rather pointing out that the DJs, and their backroom staff, couldn't have predicted this to happen. I also doubt they would knowingly prank call a psychiatric ward for the very reason that it may affect someone mentally vulnerable.

This is a normal post I think it is natural for people to want to come up
with theories as to why someone kills themselves, but it is usually rather more complicated than X so Y.

This is a normal post ABC radio had choice words
they were denied an interview with these two today, not because they broke down but 2day FM

'told the DJs were only talking to commercial TV to try and please commercial media partners.'

2day fm producers = Caring Understanding Nice Types

This is a normal post On one hand, a person doesn't kill themselves over one slip up at work - there must have been some other issues
on the other hand I want an example to be set that if anyone tries to work for 2dayFM they will be RUINED FOREVER.

Not because of this, because of other things.
