Reason enough to end trusting the public to be cool with captive animals
That is simply sick, tots included

They're members of PETA though.
They have a special connection with animals. It's man that is dangerous.

Fucking hell!
How can you be so fucking stupid? And to put little kids in harms way like that? The parents should be fed to the lions.

That's your solution to everything, which is why you got sacked from that job driving a hearse on your first day.

Quite right Toast. The rhinos in particular can get well narky if you honk their horns.

They were lucky these were cheetahs and not lions
though I've heard of people trying to do the same in a drive-through lion area. The cheetahs were reacting to the H. sapiens as a threat not as prey - though male cheetahs can kill each other - but even swatting with their front legs can inflict damage.

I've seen them making short work of birds landing in their zoo enclosure.
Also cheetah-related, here is the King Of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and his cheetah www.youtube.com/watch?v=jKg7mMIZYS8

There is a reason
you have to find pictures that are that old in order to show someone being that ignorant in public. Also they look French, which removes any self awareness.
Glad the kids were OK, mum or dad (or both) should have received a permanent scar though to remind them not to be so stupid ever again.
Knee to ankle or similar seems to be the size they would need to stop them being so stupid in a safari park again.
If nothing else, it would remind their kids of the day mummy and daddy nearly got them killed.

Put the kids into care but leave the parents there without their car.

Ahem
I actually got to cuddle and pet a cheetah in that very same safari park, 'cos my dad knew the director. I can't remember whether there are any photos to prove it, this was circa 1985. Anyway, here's a pro tip if you ever get into a fight with a cheetah: grab it by the base of the tail (the bum end) and hang on. Like a dog, and unlike a cat, it can't bend round and bite you.

Well this explains why they're so aggressive around children. You've got a lot to answer for.
