I'd like to know why the anti-immunisation people got to be so fucking retarded, I mean, it's not like they've HAD an MMR jab..

See all the autistic internet virgins you /talkers hassle
actually have a valid excuse now.
"My parents wouldn't let me be immunized"

I've got a pal, her and her husband both exceptionally clever folk but wouldn't get their kids immunised.
The reason?
Nowt to do with teh autisms, oh no.
It's the mercury used in the production of vaccines, that's what she said.
Dumb fuckers, too clever by half.

Cause the the lead in their drinking water pipes
is going to bring them good health and longevity?
Clever clogs!
(, Wed 7 Dec 2011, 11:57, closed)
Of course they're not smart enough
To realise that the tuna sandwiches they send their little darlings to school with every day have umpteen times as much mercury in them as vaccines.

In all fairness to them...
I don't actually have a clue what they feed their kids.
Could be dolphin for all I know ;)

Is there a bell that goes off in your house when I post something on QOTW, speaking of autism?

Unfair.
(, Wed 7 Dec 2011, 12:39, closed)
Perhaps I've spent too many years on the internet
But I was sure I was going to click these comments and see some anti-imms morons doing the old "oh, but you people aren't parents so you couldn't possibly understand why we didn't get out little Thomas vaccinated" type bullshit.

To Expand A Bit..

Here in Oz, we have to deal with these fuckwits: avn.org.au/

Every health fallacy known to man. They recommend massive doses of vitamins, crystal therapy, homoeopathy, holistic healing and other assorted mumbo-jumbo. Anything and everything rather than getting your kids vaccinated. One of their more outrageous claims is that Polio wasn't virtually eradicated in the West by the use of the Polio vaccine - Polio was dying out naturally anyway. The vaccine had fuck all to do with it.

I'm of the generation that can still remember seeing older people who's lives were destroyed by Polio. They didn't call it "the crippler" for nothing.

Mind you, don't the Aussies do some 'no state aid for medicine for your kids unless they've had their jab' thing now?

(, Wed 7 Dec 2011, 14:43, closed)
Close..

It's a Government kids tax credit worth a a couple of grand. You don't have to get your kids vaccinated but, if you don't, you don't get the credit.

To be honest, I don't agree with this approach. It's a way of forcing people to get vaccinations and just feeds the paranoia against vaccination.

I prefer the school approach. Many schools (especially the good ones) refuse to accept pupils who don't have a vaccination certificate. Which has given rise to schools who *advertise* for kids who's parents haven't vaccinated them. A measles or mumps outbreak in one of those schools is fun to watch. From a distance.

Cheers
