This is a question My Biggest Disappointment

Often the things we look forward to the most turn out to be a huge let down. As Freddy Woo puts it, "High heels in bed? No fun at all. Porn has a lot to answer for."

Well, Freddy, you are supposed to get someone else to wear them.

What's disappointed you lot?

my most recent disappointment is that
some cunt just made me lose the Game.

It's been at least 6 months since that happened.

CHANGED MY LIFE.

That doesn't help at all!!!
I found that if everytime you remember The Game, to make it more interesting, you've got to remember forgetting about Dre. It was on the radio somewhere.

YOU UTTER BASTARD!
That is all. Now who shall I call first and tell that I have just lost?

the feeling of making all of you lot lose
is almost enough to make up for losing myself!
(, Fri 27 Jun 2008, 9:26, closed)
But that isn't how it works.
You don't lose the game when you get told by someone else (although it reinforces the meme) it's only when you remember it off your own back that it counts as 'losing'.

it was my understanding that you lose the Game when you think of it
regardless of how that comes about

otherwise, where's the competitive aspect?

your rules sound boring. if I lose, it's my mission to tell everyone else I know who is playing, and I'd hope they would do the same.

Nooooooooooo!
That is all.

PS I have written a scene with you in it. Not sure where to post it though.

Bastards
I love it at festivals when someone texts "I've just remembered the game" to the big screens and then all around you hear choruses of "what a cunt", "you fucking bastard" and "what a fucking twat that cunt is."

My understanding of The Game is that if you remember, you lose, and you have to tell all of your friends who then call you a bastard. Then once you've forgotten that you've remembered, then it starts again until someone remembers it again. And you can never leave...

*Accidentally posted this on the QOTW, I'm such a tool sometimes :(

Yes when you lose you tell everyone you know. But if everyone you tell then automatically loses they have to tell everyone they know and soon everyone in the world will be constantly losing, having no time to do other things.

If you don't lose when someone else tells you it just reinforces the fact that you are playing, and thus makes it more likely you'll lose in the future (hence calling the person who reminded a you a cunt is completely acceptable).

I didn't just forget I wasn't playing
I didn't even know.
And now I do.
And I've lost already.

*feels headache coming on*
*shouts mandatory 'cunt' comment at Vipros*

your crazy worldwide catastrophe theory only works if everyone can be arsed to tell everyone they know, and that they tell them in an instant.

due to delays and what have you there are always lags.

case in point: I've been winning at least 6 months until today even though everyone I know who plays does so by the same rules as me.

also, if constantly losing means you can't do other things, then you have other issues.

Agreed!
Recently I went 8 months in a new city, with a new job and totally new people before a random in the street turned to me and said: "You've just lost!"
I nearly fell through the floor. 10 hours later I got a text from 300miles aways telling me that I had 'just lost'.

My theory is that this 2nd loss in the same day was related to the first in a 'six degrees' (Or four tops) manner.

Co-quincy-quonce? I fink not!
