This is a question Driven to Madness

Captain Placid asks: What annoying things do significant others, workmates and other people in general do that drive you up the wall? Do you want to kill your other half over their obsessive fridge magnet collection? Driven to distraction over your manager's continued use of Comic Sans (The Font of Champions)? Tell us.

Cleaning for Control
When the nearly Mrs Magictorch II gets upset, she cleans. Like, a frenzy of cleaning. it really REALLY winds me up.

But given that im normally the cause of the upset, i really have no leg. etc.

I wish my missus was like this, she's more like stig of the dump in a woman's body.

Can I borrow her for a while?
I'm quite annoying and my house is still a bit of a shit-tip from the weekend / guests.

Hmm, same here
That is, I find anger is the perfect fuel for getting stuff done. It allows for maximum HUFFY SMASH CLUNK SMASH when putting crockery away / moving furniture for hoovering etc.

Also, by the time I'm done I realise what a dick I've been, and can present my other half with a freshly-cleaned flat as recompense.

Gormo is onto something there -
you should get her really riled up and then go to visit fellows b3tans abodes (strangely with all their cleaning gear at the ready..)
Just don't let her see money change hands.

Is this not called
'displacement activity'? When I was on the end of a lengthy telling off from the ex I used to start on the washing up because at the end of half an hour of ear battering, at least I had the end result of a clean set of crocks.
