This is a question Helicopter Parents

Back when young ScaryDuck worked in the Dole office rather than simply queuing in it, he had to deal with a claimant brought in by his mum. She did all the talking. He was 40 years old.

Have you had to deal with over-protective parents? Get your Dad to tell us all about it.

Only just occurred to me...
A trend I've noticed over the last couple of years at university open days is that the campus tours have at least as many parents as prospective students on them.

It's freshers' week next week. I think there should be a sweepstake on how many helicopter parents there are there, and how long they stay.

Just heard on the radio about the student loans fuck-uperry
They had some parent bleating on about how little Jimmy won't be able to eat, pay rent or even - shudder - get shitfaced at freshers week. Apparently this parent had been on the phone to the student loans, the local MP, the works. When the reporter asked why little Jimmy couldn't do it himself, the mum responded with: "Oh, Jimmy's far too laid back for things like this!"

I say let little Jimmy starve, the useless little spludge-pot halfwit. Might be harsh, but if he's 'too laid back' to sort out his own finances he might as well go and whistle. And the little prick was doing a degree in economics. The cunt.
