You are easily impressed by shiney things and flashing lights

(, Mon 21 May 2012, 16:18, Reply)
I saw them at Glastonbry one year
because, you know, they were on. I don't mind their music, it's fairly inoffensive. They did put on a good show, though.
(, Mon 21 May 2012, 16:23, Reply)
I find the inoffensive nature of their music highly offensive.

(, Mon 21 May 2012, 16:24, Reply)
this^^
"Adult pop" radio stations such as Heart and Absolute destroy music because they reward mediocrity. they design their playlists to be as inoffensive as possible to prevent switch over, they never aim to thrill or excite, just not to offend, which is shit.

Good music should always offend someone
(, Mon 21 May 2012, 16:27, Reply)
Inoffensive doesn't have to mean bad.
They do what they do very well. It's just that I don't like it. A massive proportion of the population do. There's no point getting your knickers in a twist over it.

Edit: In fact, I don't even not like it. I can listen to it quite happily. It doesn't make me feel anything at all.
(, Mon 21 May 2012, 16:29, Reply)
I don't get overly upset, ther is plenty of room for all genres really
i do wish there was more radio variety though.
(, Mon 21 May 2012, 16:32, Reply)
I figure that you and I have different criteria for what constitutes "brilliant live"

(, Mon 21 May 2012, 16:18, Reply)
Needs MOAR volume, mosh pit and sweat

I may start weeing with excitement at Pearl Jam soon!

(, Mon 21 May 2012, 16:22, Reply)
I watched "pearl jam 20" the other day, it was ok

(, Mon 21 May 2012, 16:25, Reply)
It is a good documentary, that one

(, Mon 21 May 2012, 16:27, Reply)
I missed them at Leeds festival in 2006, I think it was
because I was off my chops and I wasn't really that arsed about their music. A few years later I listened to Binaural, thought 'this is brilliant' and have been kicking myself for missing them ever since.

Manchester 20th June
Woop!

Saw them in 2009 after 20 years of trying to get a ticket!
(, Mon 21 May 2012, 16:27, Reply)
oh oh oh, i was there, right at the front covered in sweat and piss

(, Mon 21 May 2012, 16:29, Reply)
Whilst berk was listening to Binaural?

(, Mon 21 May 2012, 16:30, Reply)
yeah but she was "off her chops"
So couldn't see me crouching behind her TV
(, Mon 21 May 2012, 16:30, Reply)
I recall seeing them briefly from the top of the ferris wheel
(NB, I did actually go on the ferris wheel, it wasn't just a lolMD induced hallucination)
(, Mon 21 May 2012, 16:30, Reply)
I really don't remember there being a ferris wheel...
seriously

(, Mon 21 May 2012, 16:31, Reply)
Only cause the little scrotes stole it from down the road and rerected it in the campsite

(, Mon 21 May 2012, 16:33, Reply)
I assure you there was one
it was opposite one of the little stages, possibly the unsigned stage.
(, Mon 21 May 2012, 16:35, Reply)
I suspect you look for something like sounding better than the album you have at home
whereas she likes something that can be easily recorded on her phone camera so that she can file it on her computer and never actually watch it again.

I fucking hate people who film concerts on their phones. I'm all for taking a couple of pictures if you're in a good spot, but why bother filming it? Adele live at the Albert Hall was on BBC3 the other night and although I'm not really a fan, when she did Rolling in the Deep it sounded like the crowd were really having a good time and there were still cunts with their phones filming not just her on stage, but other people in the crowd. Fucking cunts the lot of them.
(, Mon 21 May 2012, 16:24, Reply)
What I really hate about that
Is when I am standing behind them, my dumb reflex is to look up and watch the stage through the screen on the back of the camera.
(, Mon 21 May 2012, 16:27, Reply)
^^This, FFS.

(, Mon 21 May 2012, 16:36, Reply)
Just you so both know
I'm belming at you with all my being
(, Mon 21 May 2012, 16:44, Reply)
yeah everyone knows you either get tehre early enough to be at the front, or you barge your way to the front where no-one can spoil your view

(, Mon 21 May 2012, 16:45, Reply)
or try not being a midget or an inbred local you can't help but stare at shiney mobile phones

(, Mon 21 May 2012, 16:46, Reply)
It's not so much staring, it just catches your view, and you stare at it for a second before thinking 'What the fuck am I doing?', before watching the band again. Then, two minutes later, it'll happen again.

(, Mon 21 May 2012, 16:48, Reply)
thats why i'm not taking my gf to the katy perry gig alter this year
she'd just ruin it
(, Mon 21 May 2012, 16:48, Reply)
She might stop you masterbating as well

(, Mon 21 May 2012, 16:50, Reply)
thats what i meant by 'ruin it'

(, Mon 21 May 2012, 16:50, Reply)
I tend to go into the mosh pit at most gigs, so being able to see the band is rarely an issue
Either that, or I find a good position towards the side
(, Mon 21 May 2012, 16:48, Reply)
i dunno if there are mosh pits at katy perry gigs
do you reckon i should be packing when i go?
(, Mon 21 May 2012, 16:50, Reply)
I very much doubt there will be any mosh pits at Katy Perry gigs, so you should be fine.

(, Mon 21 May 2012, 16:51, Reply)
cool i'm only soft and little and i've never been to a big gig before

(, Mon 21 May 2012, 16:54, Reply)
The best way to really enjoy it is to lie down on the floor just before her biggest hit

(, Mon 21 May 2012, 16:55, Reply)
cool i'll try to remember that
do you think her greatest hit is firework, kissed a girl or california gurls?
(, Mon 21 May 2012, 17:01, Reply)
