Last year the stuff I tried to grow all died because I didn't water it regularly enough
so this year I decided not to take the risk.

What did you grow?
I've got hanging baskets front and back, and a couple of raised beds round the back with carrots, lettuce, spring onions, etc.
Tried growing cabbages and strawberries but some wee fucker was eating them after dark.

You really wish your dad had bought you a flat with a garden so that you could grow some strawberries.
But sadly, you're stuck in your concrete wasteland, whereas we will be enjoying a nice cold beer in our respective gardens tonight.

i'd prefer holland park to a couple of fenced-in square feet overlooked by everyone else, which is all you get in london
when i want a real garden, i'll go up to cheshire and lie around my dad's. and if i ever want one for good, i'll sell the flat and buy something else. but i would want assurances as to the hotness of the gardener before committing myself to a move like that.

I got my chard seeds the other day.
I'm going to build a self-irrigating container for them.
