Fucksocks.
Really, it's a question about that word. Thus far I've encountered it in two places- b3ta and Christopher Moore's novels. He says he picked it up from some goth website circa 2004-5.
Anyone in here remember when it first appeared? It's got me wondering...
Alt: hamtoucher.

Woo! Thanks!
I had the feeling that it originated here, but hadn't been able to track it down. It's been one of my favorite words for about the past eight years.

Not all of our electricians are black.
I think you have a warped view of the cultural make-up and roles in the united kingdom owing to the inherent racism of you and your entire nation.

I think you may be projecting a bit.
Had I meant it to be racist I would have used one of your charming British terms like "darkie" or "wog". You have a far better grasp on racism than anyone I know on this continent. You've been practicing it much longer than we have.

Not long gone!
I found a copy in my archives, so have re-hosted it.
We can't let historical artifacts like this just rot!

Now how about hamtoucher? (Can't say I've ever used that one in conversation, though.)

I think ham toucher was lord Manley - at least I banned him for a bit for "over zealous" use of the phrase :)

I always kinda liked that one.
Or rather, I liked the way it was treated on /board, especially the image of Brian Blessed as Jesus carrying a ham. It causeth me to giggle.
But it doesn't quite have the same impact as "fucksocks". There's just something about the staccato sound of that word that makes it fun to say.
