wonderful people of offtopic
I need some new music suggestions - I'm bored of everything I own. I got the hiatus album when I was flicking through the unofficial ambient theme day, and would really like some more stuff like that. Also, any good folk, hiphop or breaks would be a bonus.

Simon and Garfunkel usually have tunes with filthy bass and dirty phat beatz
What's your B-Boi dress code like?

My b-boi dress code?
Mouldering in a box in my parents attic, assuming that it hasn't been binned already. Along with all my other teenage mistakes. I do own a couple of simon and garfunkel records though.

I've fallen out with the warp shop
After I did the honest thing and returned the second copy of a Broadcast record they sent me by mistake and then they never reimbursed my postage costs.

it has been. BPB morning in the tangled household
Master & Everyone, I See a Darkness and The Letting Go.
I've also been considering getting Burial's eponymous LP, do you recommend it?
(, Sat 4 Aug 2012, 16:37, Reply)
Burialwise, the best is Untrue.
That recent EP is good, but the best release by far is Untrue. Still not really sure why he gets called dubstep, if anything he's post-garage.

Get Untrue.
(, Sat 4 Aug 2012, 16:59, Reply)
Is that the EP with Four tet?
I've heard some of that.
I shall investigate Untrue, thanks.
(, Sat 4 Aug 2012, 18:29, Reply)

If you are looking for decent contemporary folk bands
I recommend Alasdair Roberts, Sproatly Smith, Cath & Phil Tyler, Sam Lee.
For 2nd folk revival stuff, you can't go wrong with Shirley Collins or Ann Briggs.
(, Sat 4 Aug 2012, 16:31, Reply)
I'll have a look for those, not stuff I've heard of
In the meantime, have you heard of Spiro? Just bought their latest album and it's excellent
(, Sat 4 Aug 2012, 18:01, Reply)
I have not, but will investigate.

it's dead as a scene.
But get on the Lot 49 website and nuskoolbreaks website. Dubstep killed it dead.

(, Sat 4 Aug 2012, 17:50, Reply)
love scroobius
distraction pieces is excellent
(, Sat 4 Aug 2012, 17:59, Reply)
Deffo,
I gotta admit, I didn't love ever song at first, took me a few plays on some of them... unlike Angels that I love every track first off. Only song I don't like on Distraction Pieces is the last one where he's getting a handjob.

Check out some Kid Carpet, he's got a few good tracks, I like "Make it look good".
(, Sat 4 Aug 2012, 18:18, Reply)
Chase & Status are scene traitors
And are no longer welcome in DnB circles.
(, Sat 4 Aug 2012, 18:51, Reply)
Stop't be a snob with your music, it's made to be heard man, anyone can use it.
You get so damn presious some times, it's just rythams and rhyrmes, beats and times.
