It's a bit strong to call this a phobia, but for me it's the thought of biting into a dry flannel. I've no idea why I'd ever want to or even get the opportunity to do so, seeing as I don't own one, but it makes my teeth hurt to think about it. *ewww*

Insects.There's just something about their chitinous bodies that creeps me out- apparently it's the exoskeleton, as lobsters and crabs also give me Teh Fear.
But in particular? CAVE CRICKETS.

I mean, just LOOK at that fucker. They're typically about the size of the end of my thumb, they jump about ten feet (and that's not an exaggeration), they inhabit dark damp places under houses, eating god-knows-what, and are damn near indestructible. I once froze one in a glass jar, and when I thawed him a day later he went springing about as happy as can be! Add to that the fact that they're cannibals...
I've been known to go after them with a can of WD-40 and a lighter.

Weonce kept a cockroach in a jar, without food or water, for *3* years.
People say they're indestructible. They're not as we eventually let it loose on, a painted floor, with Ziggy the cat watching and it was swiftly pounced on, beaten to a pulp with his paw and eaten.

Argh!Those damn things are all over my apartment. One fell off the ceiling onto my laptop. I almost smacked the screen to get rid of the damned thing. Roaches are worse however. I hate the little ones.
