This is a question Starting something you couldn't finish

Finnbar says: I used to know a guy who tattooed LOVE across his left knuckles, but didn't tattoo HATE on the other knuckles because he was right-handed and realised he couldn't finish. Ever run out of skills or inspiration halfway through a job?

Same here.
The other thing that happened was that PotC came out....since my story was about pirates (well one was) I kinda decided against it.

I did a creative writing course years ago...
...and since then, nothing apart from an abortive page or two. At the time I did have a bit of fun with a fellow student swapping stories part way through. So, I'd write a couple of pages introduction, then he'd write a bit more, then I'd have it back, and so on.
While in and of itself it probably won't produce a coherent narrative, it might inspire you by presenting plot idea you may not have considered.
If you can find someone interested in the same genre of story as you want to write, it might at least rekindle your enjoyment for writing.
