this compo is reminding me of the project I had to do toward my Graphical Communications O-level* I got 29 out of 30 for it and was very proud. I even got to make my own roadsign at a factory :DD

weird teacher - claimed he could tell the time by creating a rudimentary sundial with a pencil and holding it under the fluorescent lighting

I only went to the factory to speak to them and the let me make my own sign on the whizzy computer printer/cutter (this was 1985) - it was very swish for its day!

sounds brill. exactly the kind of thing that kids wrote in to Jimmy Savile for back in the day. Dear Jim, can you fix it for me to make my own roadsign in a roadsign making factory? "Nowthenowthen. Could we do it? Could we do it? Factory roadsign gentlemen very busy people. Could we do it? Watch this..."

I can't believe he is still alive - he looked dead even back then

I was sad to see on a recent trip back home that the factory has closed down and been demolished. I hope the owner retired as a millionaire! I doubt it though somehow
