That creationist museum link in the newsletter left me open mouthed
seriously, how fucking thick can some people be?

I've been there!
I lived in Portsmouth for four years so in the end I decided to go with a friend of mine. We were well impressed. Far from convinced since the people who run it, their videos and their displays were all totally batshit insane and made not the blindest bit of sense, but we were impressed nonetheless.
Also, it was free, and we had a very nice meal with wine afterwards.

Alas, no
We paid for it. That's a lie, *I* paid for it. But it was good stuff.
If you find yourself in Pompey, go to the museum :) It's right by the historic dockyards, almost exactly opposite Portsmouth Harbour station.

To be blunt
outright nutters who can't handle things like carbon dating explaining the evolution of our world don't interest me much

well, in all honesty that's a reasonable point of view
they do have arguments about why carbon dating is flawed. all wrong and badly expressed misunderstandings of something they read fifty years back, but they are at least aware of the problem.
but if it's going to irritate instead of amuse you... steer clear and just go to the historic dockyards instead. :)

Woo to the chimp!
Also, that's a fantastic photo. I remain obscenely jealous of your job.

Another job
Things have reached a dead end. I'm at my wits end with who I work with

that sucks
i've been really lucky with who's employed me, they've either left me alone to get on with it, or they've been really good at being in closer contact.
is it the same kind of work with people who aren't as big twats? or at least something you'll enjoy?

i've been offered a job; I just don't particularly want it.
Celebs interest me for about two seconds. I wouldn't recognise most of them
