# Alas, sometimes on learns these things too late
I got to Germany and was told to tutor a course in diploma-level Statistical Mechanics. At this point I thought a diploma was equivalent to an undergrad degree. I had a very nasty shock when I found it's equivalent to a Masters, and that my Statistical Mechanics course at uni was fucking rubbish.

Anyway, best of luck with that. I *could* teach you all about general relativity, causal horizons, black holes, cosmology and the fundamental nature of the universe, but not econometrics :( Unless you can express it as an effective manifold endowed with a metric.

As for the Russian lady, I certainly am very grateful that I'm peeing blood from my nose tonight and not tomorrow. It's not the best look. Maybe I'll go and buy a red shirt, just in case.

# I now demand a series of funny, non threatening images explaining to me the fundamental natures of the universe.
