I do think some companies are actually serious about the whole thing, as they see it as a way of protecting their future interests.Others, like EDF, just use it as a cover up for their more nefarious activities.

EDF Energy production is also around 28% for coalwhich is rather a lot in today's day and age, especially for a "green" company. 66% nuclear too, which ought to be a bit higher really. It remains to be seen, but they are apparently developing renewables, so they may not be too bad in the long run, assuming of course, they mean what they say
