Marsupials are an Infraclass of mammals.
Kingdom: Animalia
Phylum: Chordata
Class: Mammalia
Subclass: Theria
Infraclass: Marsupialia
The Therian subclass indicates mammals that give birth to live young without a shelled egg; so most mammals with the exception of platypus and echidna and the like who still lay eggs. They are of the subclass Prototheria, but still fall under the class Mammalia.
