It works for me, if you're gonna fill a channel full of old shows, put them on with the original idents, and at the original times. Maybe even get the ad companies to use ye olde adverts.

Offices around teh country would be pushing LCD TV's into wooden boxes with knobs on and eating their lunch on the floor watching Bagpuss.

I used 2 layers and blurred one a bit tho so it wasn't too perfect round the edges.
