and never had much opportunity to acquaint myself with 6.

PSP and its upgrades are within my budget.

As I said though, custom shaped and sized brushes were in PS3...

PSP offers almost too many options on brushes though, most of them are self-defeating.

until I saw them in 8 - much more visible and easy to change brush on the fly with the new toolbar.

Maybe I was too lazy to explore the software that I had before.

My own fault.
