It's an honest questionWhat's the point chopping the pictures up? You're not saving anyone any bandwidth, and that's the only justification for filesize limits in the first place. One way or the other, you're still putting in the region of 500k onto the board in a single post. I'm not being a filesize Nazi - some people justifiably are, since they're on limited broadband or (insanely) browsing b3ta from their phone, but my home broadband is unlimited and work don't block b3ta, so I'm pretty relaxed. It's just... chopping the pictures up makes it look like you're trying to hide how big the posts are.
