# I agree that the moderation was wrong, and that leaving because of it would be an overreaction.
On the other hand, I did have the impression that Hedgehog was getting a bit disenchanted with b3ta even before this. I'll miss him, he was a funny guy, but there's no sense in anyone sticking around if they're not enjoying the place anymore.

# you can still enjoy the place and still feel a strong sense of injustice
like Jahled said, "b3ta is not a democracy; you are not free to feel you are able to post absolutely any content you want because it is your human right or some such bollocks, and nor have you ever been able to do so." Absolutely correct.

But the feeling for many years, since Rob had the argument about Derek and Clive, was that free speech was very much the order of the day.

And whether we like what we see (I speak collectively as a linguistic point, I don't assume backing) or not, it has been what we are accustomed to. And those who care about b3ta as a community are right to be dismayed by what has occurred recently.

# He's actually been quite a busy guy in real life when I last spoke to him
All this happened early AM btw, grumpy heads may have contributed to much flouncing and dramatic posts. He's one of the loveliest blokes i've met off this place, so I hope he's not long gone
