# My 6 year of daughter had it about right last night

# 6 yr old girls have the best opinions on most things
I was on the bus a few weeks ago when England were playing one of their first games, and behind me there was a bloke with a girl of about that age. He was clearly a bit miffed at having to take his daughter somewhere when there was a match on, and was hoping to get back quickly before he missed too much. His daughter asked him why he liked football so much, and after trying to explain in rather vague and meaningless terms about it being England and cheering on your team there was a slight pause, after which the girl said "But... it doesn't really matter, does it daddy?"

# I hope he gave her a stern lecture about there being no real way of measuring the value or meaning of anything, or proving that any one cause is more worthy than any other
and concluded it with something profound about dust in the wind, dude.
