# Place Your Bets
How long is it going to take me to defrag this?

I really can't be bothered with defragging, which is why it's got this bad! :)

# i have no idea what that means
but it looks complicated.

# Well
It's been on 12% since I took that screen print!

# that hurts my eyes,
plus i have no idea what it means.

# Well.
you see the little red bits on there? They're BAD parts of my hard drive. And all the liitle happy blue bits? They're GOOD parts. The White bits are empty spaces on my hard drive...the rest doesn't really matter.

But still...it's gonna take forever!

*cries into palms*

# is this a pc phenomenon?
i have a mac, see, and no one ever said nothin' t'me about having to frag or defrag or refrag or upfrag it.

but i'm sorry for your troubles.
(, Wed 26 Nov 2003, 3:24, archived)
# Must be a PC thing then...
I'm sure there's something on your happy little mac (No sarcasm intended) that says "Fix it, it's going slow, you can't put it off any longer"
(, Wed 26 Nov 2003, 3:27, archived)
# this puppy doesn't go slow.
100% of fact.

(except for that one time i accidentally loaded 5,000 files onto it at once, but that was my fault, not the computers)
(, Wed 26 Nov 2003, 3:28, archived)
# Geez
When's the last time you defragged?
(, Wed 26 Nov 2003, 3:21, archived)
# erm...
I really can't remember!...erm...

Nope...it was ages ago...

#
I would uninstall some apps ( large ones ) or move larger files to somewhere else. Empty the Recycler, and delete anything I dont need.

I'd do that so there's more swap space and the defragmentation is faster...

# Nah
I'll sit and wait. I haven't got most stuff backed up...and by the time I get discs to back it up and found the discs that do have other stuff on. it'll be next week.

25% now:)

#
empty recycle bin, clear IE cache, empty C:\windows\temp and try again -- should move along a bit faster.

# Crikey
It looks like you have the dreaded AOL virus as well!

# I've explained before...I'll cry, pick myself up and explain again:)
It's not my computer, I just help break fix it...and do stuff...It's actualy my mums computer, she pays for everything on it...I just sit and complain alot. I never use AOL to actualy surf around with 'cause it's all in the same window and weird. I use Opera. Just minimise AOL as soon as it's loaded. I don't complain that much about it...

I'm moving out soon, when I'll build my own piece of shit and have broadbeans on it insted. Can't get them round here in the hills...
