according to a drunk squaddy on the last train out of edinburgh - he'd lost his passport so he couldn't go to iraq apparently

# i wasn't aware that
you needed your passport to go to Iraq on active service...every day is a school day

My dad went to the falklands, I have no idea if he needed his passport

edit: you don't need a passport because you get shipped there

# acording to the squaddie
as it is post-war you need a passport to enter the different country

that said - he had got on the wrong train twice and ended up in peterbrough early that day

edit: I don't think you need a passport to go to the falklands - I think we still own it to the extent that we can just wander over - might need ID

# yeah
but my dad went to the falklands post war as well, he says you have a piece of paper saying you have orders to be there so you don't need your passport

you still need a passport to get the falklands i think it's a bit like canada and australia
