just a guess.

I beat a friend of my hands truly bloody and swollen like boxing gloves once playing bloody knuckles. he just kept laughing harder and harder. that was the day I found out he was a masochist.
I never played that game again.

We used to have a similar game, punching shoulders.
/edit: trading licks...

It wasn't as much how hard you could punch, but how quickly you could get ready for the next lick.

I came home many a day with both bruised shoulders and pride.

-interlock fingers on your right hand with their left and same with other hand
-then try and cause them to submit by twisting your hands

basic object: cause pain

Try to push your opponent's hands over and down away from you, whilst causing as much pain as possible.
First to go to one side or submit ('cause it hurts a lot when you start losing) loses.
