the hippo is responsible for more deaths in the bush than any of the more famous 'Big 5 Game', and it is vegetarian.
Why? It kills for fun and leaves the remains to the meat eaters.

lots of people get killed when they come to the surface underneath boats. That and when in the evenings they run up their established routes back to shor right through a newly erected campsite!
