I think the standard of work displayed there is excellent.

well congratulations to the Chimps in the Ministry for a job well done :)

I guess that didn't go across too well :(
this place is great and I wouldn't have the FP selection process changed in any way, as said further down in this thread if there were voting for FP's this place would go to pot - fast

someone should badger the government for a grant to develop new smileys, tongue-in-cheek, sarcasm, etc.
[tongue-in-cheek smiley]

I reckon there should be an 'I like this!' button on new thread posts, and when it gets enough clicks, it goes on the front page.

I'll take my radical ideas and burn them in some sort of fire-proof tin.

most people have shit taste, i'm pretty sure i do
edit: though i do think a few more mods are needed for some times of the day, maybe an american or two

anything you would vote for would be less than 20k
;)

there's lots of night/gay shift pictures that really are superb that tend to get missed. They'll only get frontpaged if a mod feels like spazzing back.

does anyone know?
I asked this before and something happened, can't remember what
(, Sun 18 Apr 2004, 17:44, archived)
I seem to remember quite a while back that someone said there was somethign like about 20, though they could of been bullshitting.
(, Sun 18 Apr 2004, 17:46, archived)
i don't think anyone ever kept track of who the mods are, and it doesn't really matter anyway. if you pay attention when something gets FP'd you can figure out some of them, but really, it's better if no one knew
(, Sun 18 Apr 2004, 17:46, archived)
Personally I think the mods do a good job (99% of the time)
(, Sun 18 Apr 2004, 17:48, archived)
keeping quiet about it
EDIT: surely it's organised in such a way that someone is always "on duty"
(, Sun 18 Apr 2004, 17:50, archived)
or is htis a cunning double bluff?
edit: No, you cant guarantee that.
(, Sun 18 Apr 2004, 17:52, archived)
i definately think there should be more american mods. perhaps some college student in Virginia.... or somtehing.
(, Sun 18 Apr 2004, 17:43, archived)
people who don't get on the front page can just keep thinking "I would get there if there was democracy"
like me ;)
(, Sun 18 Apr 2004, 17:39, archived)
would click on all the shite ones to get them on the front page
(, Sun 18 Apr 2004, 17:38, archived)
just for OKing pictures to the frontpage.
(, Sun 18 Apr 2004, 17:39, archived)
but you'd get silly people with multiple accounts front paging themselves
(, Sun 18 Apr 2004, 17:39, archived)
Maybe then you'd have to have to code it so that when a certain percentage of every user online has clicked it, it gets front paged. Just a thought anyway.
EDIT: Or you could give the privilage of an 'I like this!' button only to users with over say, 500 posts.
