i'm not sure that they'd have toafter all, you the people aren't voting for religion(although against a religion is a totally different story), they're usually voting party, so if an athiest won the primarys for a party then got asked about his religion and he said he was 'unaffiliated', that wouldn't be able to affect his appeal to anyone but the ACTUAL bible thumping believers (say, 3% of the nation. they'd be forced tolook at his stance on certain issues as opposed to his religious beliefs. rereading that makes me think of things to contradict myself but i want to do some shopping so ill post it anyway. paintmash time
