# erm
Once upon a time on a crappy little island off the coast of europe there was a company that made cars but after years of neglect by the government, militant unions, german buyouts that turned out to be simply a cheap way of aqcuiring the Mini trademark finally curled up it's toes and died. Which is sad. How come they never built good cars like Honda. And now it means these brummies will get jobs at TVR making them shit. or something.

# As
TVR have just laid off 90 people, no Brummies will ever get in. Besides, Blackpool to Birmingham is a fair old distance.

# Rover
'As *pats Chimaera*'

Which has a Rover V8, transmission and ignition. Doh! Best of luck when that goes wrong or needs spares.

Never mind, there's always the Lotus Elise... which up until recently had a Rover 1.8 motor in it. Doh!

Actually, that'd be a good compo' - Peel off your parts labels on your car or household white goods and if you reveal the word 'Rover' you lose. Ahh, think of the fun.

Seriously for a moment, the new Mini was designed, built and engineered by all the clever Rover bods at Longbridge. The result - BMW to scarper with it and make an absolute mint whith heaps of credit. Proof that us British engineers can make good cars but not decent managers, directors and accountants.

*Rant over - thinks of kittens and bunnies*
