the Sega Megadrive in the early 90s.

The PC version was just a port, with a few extra spiffy graphics things.

In fact I remember a particularly good birthday party where I spent the night completely blitzed playing Road Rash. ... those were the days.

1996??? road rash is an 80's speccy classic

Class game though, the problem was trying to hit the punch, kick buttons without taking your finger off the accelerater, seem to remember thr rubber keyboard made it a bit difficult.
