Im kinda turning into a bbc online watcher.
note www.bbc.co.uk/imp I am not on the trial (that i know of yet, might be) , but it looks so cool. all content downloadble for 7 days after showing.

Seems to me it would be trival
to write a program that captures a video as it's being played on another media player, and saves the result without rights protection. Not sure how DRM is supposed to survive that.

the thing is the bbc are working on their own video codec, Dirak, which is also open source. It is interesting to see how this pans out.
