# Parsnip soup
which I made yesterday evening from my own parsnips (and turned my hands brown in the process of peeling and boiling them, dammit), with freshly picked parsley sprinkled into it and a hunk* of granary bread to dunk in it

# Hi honey
*hugs in effort to get warm*

Aren't all your homegrown things getting all frosty and snowy? Mine are. : (

# Hi, angel
*hugs anyway, sod the need for an excuse*

Yes, but parsnips and brussels sprouts not only taste better after they've been frozen but shouldn't even be picked before there's been a frost. Fact!

Besides, I have herbs and stuff growing in a polytunnel so the season is extended almost all year round.

# Thanks for the gardening tips, Ptols
And get you with your polytunnel!

All I've got are some sad-looking herbs and a few dead birds.
