I have shop and all the professional stuff but as I am essentially unskilled labour I use
Paint shop pro and some godawful animation packages :(

aha, you use photoshop/imageready at all?
they're the easiest to optimise on. once saved in the noraml large format,
if you open them up in photoshop/imageready, you can use those two programs for optimising.
they are pretty good for that

ctrl+alt+shift+s - brings up save optimised in tattyshop (jpegs/gifs)
same for imageready, ro selct the 'save to filesize' tab and type in anything under 250k :-)

he he he, yup, use your normal progs for making the images, and transfer em into tattyshop etc for optimising
