# Surely consciously going for the 'non-conformist' option each time
is a form of conforming? Presumably you liked the music of Pearl Jam, why should you care if other people like it too?

Just go for what you like. Sometimes other people like the same things, sometimes they don't. Google do what they do well, they seem less cunty than many other organisations, and as cr3ative said they keep things simple. I'd really like to work for Google some day.

# I think you're right too.
(About the non-conformist bit)

I'm older and wiser now, and there are some Pearl Jam songs that I do like - there are a lot I don't too though. Mind you, that's coz they're shit, not coz other people like them.

# I can't complain, I've stopped wearing stuff in the past because it's become "fashionable" and I didn't want to look like I was wearing it because it was fashionable
And there certainly are bands that I've stopped liking as they've become more popular, although this is generally related to them becoming more popular because their music's got more bland and populist, rather than any form of musical snobbery (although my mum disagrees on this one)

Edit: and woo to your picture! Sorry, not really functioning yet this morning, I knew there was a reason I clicked reply in the first place.
