Sunhat. Although I don't think that if the sun wears a hat it's going to sheild itself from its own heat and UV-rays. Maybe the song is a metaphor for society and our own self-destruction. However much we shield people, whatever schemes we come up with to raise safety and awareness, in the end we'll all end up killing ourself and each other.
