You just need to change the plug on the end (i.e. google to find out which wires do what) and they only work by pulse dialling, not tone dialling, obviously, so they're no good for automated menu systems in call centres.


Although, if you start turning the dial, some of the automated thingies recognise it and put you through to a person instead.

is to just bash the tone dial buttons for a few seconds. Often the system thinks something has gone wrong and also puts you through to a human.
