I like the idea of the bad science column
what with being a respectable scientist*, and I'm not standing up for McKeith, but the reality of the column is that it's the writer's personal vendettas week after week.

Disclaimer: Dr Wasp Box* is no longer a scientist and was never respectable

*Wasp Box fucked up his PhD, but at least he didn't buy one in a market

I complained to the bloke
who writes the Bad Science column, because he got his chemistry wrong.
His emailed reply was very patronising and told me that he had "simplified it" because some people wouldn't understand it if he used the proper scientific terminology.
If he's reading this; "dissolves in water" is NOT the same thing as "reacts with water and the resultant products dissolve in it".
Still, he's more of a doctor than La McKeith will ever be.

I was thinking of writing to ask him what his PhD was in - presumably it was in fucking everything all right since that seems to be his self-proclaimed area of expertise.
