i design things in CAD format

so when i ask for CAD format, (which can be changed in AutoCAD) and they send me PDF, (which is basically a picture as you will know) i cant change it so its of absolute NO use at all to me. so i have to draw up huge buildings in CAD when they could/should have sent it me in fucking CAD. useless fucking bastards.

yes but you can send CAD files

in emails. and asking for CAD and getting PDF gets me more mad than hitler receiving his gas bill.

it may well be someone that, when asked for some sort of vector based image, or just something useful
sends over a 10kb gif image of a diagram with a message, all in capitals "I HOEP THIS IS WHATYOU WERE LOOKING FOR"

you can open PDFs in illustrator

then convert to CAD, if that helps?

do you use AutoCAD?

our PDF's are adobe yes. we receive them in Adobe and they 100% cannot be converted to CAD format.

text will be editable
shapes will be vectorised
i have been editing PDFs for years now

it *can* however be edited in MS paint once posted on b3ta in jpg format

please note: cdc is slightly less cd than the average cdc on account of the fact that the original image was so precise. it rubbed off on me

the style, not the cdc, that would be messy

I get the same from architects

who are trying to keep their stuff secure. I think they're worried I'll steal their blocks.

They don't seem to realise I can't design flood defences without the DWG, hence they won't get planning permission.

It does for me.

The only thing I can do with a .pdf is to convert it to a jpeg, then insert it into the drawing and scale it up to proper size and trace it.

Pain in the ass, it is.

Next time they send you a .pdf, reply and send them goatse.
