Shift then run/stop ;-)
It probably didn't matter what order thinking about it, as long as shift was held down.

I keep it on the bookshelf next to my 5.25'' Kick Off 2 for the PC.
My C64 and my Amstrad 286 are long gone.

Some games had "Space Invaders" to play while the main game loaded.
Sometimes I stopped the loading process just to play invaders.
