Fighting fire with Fire does in fact workAs i learnt badly whilst having a deodorant can flamethrower battle with my friend. Long story short his can was more powerful and i got burned. His fire won!

Well okBut you can only fight fire with fire for short periods of time before you both sustain minor burns.
You're still likely to burn down a house with a deodorant can flamethrower. Although you may need more than 1 can, or some fire support
