# I remember when it wasn't
well when people wern't so nazi about things if they contained obvious talent.

# since I've been here it has been
and I like to adhere to the rules because this place is so nice and friendly and thus it should be treated with respect, love and a bit of chocolate every now and then.

# Well he is hardly ruining the board is he?
He is a frequent poster, he donates and he makes bloody good images so lets not be so strict.

# I donate, post alot and even better give feedback to other peoples work
not just my own (slaps JJs wrist).

Does that mean I can post 1mb animations?
(, Thu 12 Jul 2007, 16:30, archived)
# Yes
because you are also a talented young man and so we would understand that your vision could not be bought to life in anything less than 1mb

# nice as you are by saying that
that's a ridiculous cliquey thing to say.

It doesn't matter who posts here, its a public board with a simple and easy to follow FAQ designed to make the site easy to view and not too boggy for people on capped broadband.

If animations can't be made under 250k, just post a thumbnail and a link to the anim.

# I'm barely here enough to be in a clique
and it is the reason I left /talk so take some credit where there is some credit due and stop sounding so ungrateful.

# lads, lads.
The guidelines are only there because some people are on slow connections, and so to make it fairer for everyone the guidelines are in place so that those who are on dialup or whatever aren't left out.

# Nobody needs to be downloading 1mb files
on an internet phone either, it's not just the stone age dial-uppers.
