Edit: that just reminded me of a Chinese joke, I don't know whether it's lost in translation or simply just their level of humour, but it makes me laugh everytime just for pure lameless!

Maybe the punchline is a stock Chinese phrase with an extra level of meaning, like giraffe jokes where the punchline involves "pain in the neck".

They explained it to me, the joke is that the panda is white (so not well) and has black eyes (so isn't sleeping).
I don't think there were any double meanings involved, heheh.
