my girfriend knitted this robot, and I wired him up to a battery:

* size 10 needes, and two colours of the cheapest, thinnest wire you can fnd.

* cast on 4 stitches holding both colors of wire together

* work in stockinette 7 rows

* work in color 1 across row and cast on 4 more stitches

* work 3 rows in color 1

* work 1 purl row holding both colors together

* use needle to make spring shape of arm with one color, work one row with both colors held together

* use nedle to make spring shape of arm with other color, cast off 3 stitches at this shoulder

* work rest of row

* cast off 3 stitches at this shoulder

* work head with both strands held together - 6 rows

* pick up and knit other leg same as the first, do not actually join wires

* add electronic bits (I bought a cheap flashy led kit from Maplins)

I hope that makes sense to you, because it means nothing to me!
